Two Day Process to Migrate
These instructions provide current Custodial Integrator for Universal desktop (CI Desktop) data administrators with the information required to migrate their data delivery operations from CI Desktop to Custodial Integrator SaaS (CI SaaS) Universal.
The following instructions will help guide you through the process of migrating your account and security translations, and global and column configurations from CI Desktop into AccountView CI SaaS. This method is to be performed over the course of two days.
Day One
Step 1: Run CI Desktop as you normally would, and import the data into your portfolio management system. This is the last time you will use CI Desktop to deliver data to your portfolio management system.
Step 2: Download the Export Utility.
Instructions to download the utility
- Download the Export Utility from this location: http://www.byallaccounts.net/CI/CISaasMigrationUtility.zip

- The files you have just created in AccountView CI SaaS should be ignored. The sole purpose of completing Step 8 is to “synch” the CI tracked transaction dates so that tomorrow, when you complete Step 9, the CI SaaS output will contain the new transactions that occurred since you last imported the CI Desktop data into your portfolio management system (Step 1).
Day Two
Step 9: On the following business day, repeat the CI SaaS file creation, and import the files into your portfolio management system.
Instructions to produce CI SaaS files
- Refer to the videos at ByAllAccounts Training Resources, specifically the “Overview of Daily File Creation” for step-by-step instructions on the process of file creation.
