Feed pre-requisitesSchwab Authorization
- Schwab data access requests must be approved by an authorized signer for the legal firm supervising the Schwab accounts, which Schwab validates during the data access request and approval process (Steps 1 and 2) against the firm’s Form ADV Schedule A.
- If multiple firm names are associated with the Schwab relationship, include all relevant firm names when submitting the feed setup form in Step 3.
Master Account Entitlement and Mapping
- Master account(s) must already be established at Schwab prior to submitting this request.
- Requestors are responsible for understanding account-to-master mapping to ensure all required accounts are included under the master account(s) requested for the feed and that there is no overlap or duplication across master accounts.
- If you have multiple master accounts (for example, FA masters), you can request a consolidated SL master from Schwab to simplify feed configuration. (Note: Transaction history will not be available for these newly created masters.)
Onboarding Instructions
Step 1: Complete the "Request for Data Access Agreement" form on the Schwab Advisor Center website.
Digital form instructions
- Log into the Schwab Advisor Center (SAC) website.
- Navigate to Account Management → Forms Library and search for “Request for Data Access Agreement.”

- Third-party data recipient’s signer: Morningstar ByAllAccounts
- Third-party data recipient’s email: [email protected]
- In Additional request details, select all available options to ensure the request includes all required data.
-
Complete the Authorized signer fields:
-
Authorized signer name: the individual(s) listed on Form ADV Schedule A for the legal firm that supervises the Schwab accounts being requested.
- If your Schwab accounts are supervised by a different legal firm (for example, a separate RIA or Broker Dealer), select the authorized signer associated with that supervising entity.
- If you operate under a DBA, select the authorized signer for the underlying legal entity.
- Authorized signer email: the email address for the selected authorized signer.
-
Authorized signer name: the individual(s) listed on Form ADV Schedule A for the legal firm that supervises the Schwab accounts being requested.
- Complete any remaining required sections of the form and submit.
- Schwab will send a confirmation email from [email protected] acknowledging receipt of the request and providing a Salesforce case number.
Step 2. Schwab validates the authorized signer for the data access request and completes any required approval steps.
Schwab validation and approval process
- Schwab reviews the submitted request to validate the authorized signer against the legal firm that supervises the Schwab accounts.
- If the authorized signer name or email does not align with the firm’s Form ADV Schedule A, Schwab contacts the requestor to correct the submission.
-
If the authorized signer is valid, Schwab determines whether additional approvals are required based on the firm’s agreement status.
- If the firm has not signed Schwab’s Investment Advisor Service Agreement (IASA), Schwab sends a DocuSign to the authorized signer to complete the required agreement.
- If the firm has already signed the IASA, no additional signature is required and the request proceeds without further action.
Step 3: Submit the Feed Setup Form in AccountView.
