Onboarding Instructions
Feed access pre-requisitesThis feed service is for National Financial Services (NFS) Broker Dealers and it is prepared for Morningstar ByAllAccounts to obtain account information. Advisors must have a registered relationship with NFS and is required to complete a Third-Party Transmission Request to release the requested files to ByAllAccounts.
Step 1: Log onto Fidelity Wealthscape website and go to the Fidelity Integration Xchange under Resources.
Step 2: Request a third-party data transmission to ByAllAccounts by updating your firm's outbound transmission rules.
Digital form instructions
- In Wealthscape, select Menu > Resources > Fidelity Integration Xchange
- In Fidelity Integration Xchange, select My Firm's Integrations > Outbound Transmission Rules
- Select "Add Rule" at the bottom of the page
- Select "BYALLACCOUNTS/MORNINGSTAR (180)" from the ENTITY NAME drop-down menu
- Select / Add Header: Client Header
- Contact your Fintech if a Client Header Name is required.
- The Client Header can be any value created by the B/D and is used by Morningstar BAA to identify the data set for the Advisor.
- The Client Header should be a combination that includes the B/D ID and Advisor Code (i.e. “Smith-JDoe” or “AB12-B03”).
- The Client Header must be provided to ByAllAccounts to locate the data once NFS adds it to the feed.
- Please note that in order to utilize the self-service tools to Add or Delete Outbound Transmission Rules, you must first request the the following entitlements from your Fidelity Administrator:
- “Integration Xchange_OutboundTransmissionsRulesManagement”
- “Integration Xchange Admin Outbound Transmission Rules Management"
- Once the request is submitted and in good order, AVDF/Fidelity will create the requested data feed to ByAllAccounts. These client-initiated changes should be effective the same day provided they are entered prior to 7:30PM EST.
- Note: This process may take a couple of weeks. If there are any questions regarding the Third-Party Transmission process, the B/D and/or Advisor can contact the NFS Client Service Team.

Step 3: Email [email protected] to request feed setup.
Required information
Email Subject | "National Financial Services (NFS) - FTP Access - Feed Setup Request - Advisory Firm (Technology Platform Provider)" |
Requesting Advisor | The first and last name of the advisor requesting the feed setup. |
Requesting Advisor Email Address | The email address of the advisor requesting the setup. |
Advisory Firm | The firm the requesting advisor is associated with. |
Technology Platform Provider | The platform receiving data via ByAllAccounts on behalf of the advisor. This could be a portfolio management platform, financial planning software, CRM, etc. It might also be referenced as third party partner or redistributor. |
Client Header | A unique identifier that allows ByAllAccounts identify which accounts should be associated with a given user. |
ByAllAccounts User Email Address | The email address for the BAA user who will use the feed credentials to aggregate accounts after setup. This email will receive the feed password in step 4. |
Expected Account Volume | The anticipated number of accounts to be added to this feed. |
Step 4: ByAllAccounts will complete the final configurations and share the feed password.

Step 5: Enter feed credentials in AccountView and aggregate accounts.
Feed credential details
- Username: Client Header
- Password: Shared by ByAllAccounts via email in step 4
- If you have more than one Client Header, you need to create multiple credentials. These will share the same password unless noted otherwise.
